About this Event
The forum will include:
- a keynote address by Dr. Lígia Teixeira, who founded the Centre for Homelessness Impact in 2018 to strengthen the use of evidence, data and lessons learned across systems addressing homelessness in the U.K. and beyond
- a fireside chat with Dr. Teixeira and Dr. Tim Aubry, emeritus professor and co-chair of the uOttawa Pop-Up Lab on Housing and Homelessness, moderated by Dr. Susan Farrell, CEO of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ottawa.
Dr. Lígia Teixeira, founding CEO of the Centre for Homelessness Impact in the U.K., will share case studies and solutions that have enabled people working in and around homelessness to achieve breakthrough results. This forum will highlight the role of evidence in supporting transformative public policies on housing and homelessness.

This inaugural public forum is part of the Collaborative International Series on Innovation in Housing and Homelessness, which provides decision-makers, community organizations, researchers and the public with evidence-based program and policy solutions to housing issues and homelessness in Ottawa. It welcomes internationally recognized researchers in the field for a series of visits.
The event will be followed by a reception.
