Welcome to a Moment That Matters
When you arrive at RePublic High School on December 12, you're not just stepping into a holiday marketplace. You're walking into a celebration of what it means to belong, to a school, to a community, to a family that shows up for each other.
As you walk deeper into the marketplace, you encounter something you may have never seen before: young people standing proudly behind tables, selling what they created.
You might see:
- A sophomore's jewelry line – handmade pieces crafted over months, each one unique and beautiful. She's nervous but glowing, watching families admire her work. When someone asks about her business, she lights up. For the first time, maybe, she's seeing herself as an entrepreneur.
- A junior's baking table – brownies, cookies, and holiday treats packed in handmade boxes. His family stands with him, proud. A customer comes back a second time. "These are amazing," they say. He beams. He belongs here.
- Art installations and creative projects – posters, paintings, digital art, photography. Each one tells a story. Each one represents a scholar who took a risk and said, "I have something to share with you."
- Family vendors – parents and guardians selling their own crafts, products, and services. A mother who's been making candles for years finally has a stage. A father's carpentry work is on display. Their children see it. They understand: We are creators. We belong in this space.
- Local small businesses – community vendors who've come to support RHS and show what's possible in our neighborhood. They're not just selling; they're modeling what entrepreneurship and community investment look like.
As you move through the marketplace, you're not just shopping. You're witnessing. You're celebrating. You're saying to each scholar and family vendor, "Your work matters. You matter. We see you."
Throughout the marketplace, you notice donation tables where families are bringing coats, blankets, and canned goods. But this isn't a transactional "drop your stuff here" experience. We're aiming to make an impact within our community.
For families considering RHS for next year, there's a dedicated space staffed by admissions representatives. But it doesn't feel like a hard sell.
Instead, you find:
- Genuine conversations – Reps aren't pushing. They're inviting. "Tell us about your child. Tell us what matters to your family. Does this feel like a place where they could belong?"
- Current students sharing their stories – RHS scholars talk about what it's like to be part of this community. They're authentic, excited, and real. No scripts. Just truth.
- Questions answered – What does it mean to be part of RePublic? How do we support families? What does belonging look like? Every question is met with thoughtfulness.
- Interest forms – Families who want to learn more fill out a simple form. But the real message has already been communicated: We see you. We want you here. You belong.

Cuando llegas a RePublic High School el 12 de diciembre, no solo estás entrando a un mercado navideño. Estás entrando a una celebración de lo que significa pertenecer: a una escuela, a una comunidad, a una familia que se apoya mutuamente.
A medida que avanzas por el mercado, encuentras algo que tal vez nunca hayas visto: jóvenes de pie, orgullosos, detrás de sus mesas, vendiendo lo que ellos mismos crearon.
Podrías ver:
- La línea de joyería de una estudiante de segundo año – piezas hechas a mano durante meses, cada una única y hermosa. Está nerviosa pero radiante mientras observa a las familias admirar su trabajo. Cuando alguien le pregunta sobre su negocio, se ilumina. Tal vez, por primera vez, se ve a sí misma como emprendedora.
- La mesa de repostería de un estudiante de tercer año – brownies, galletas y dulces navideños empacados en cajas hechas a mano. Su familia está a su lado, orgullosa. Un cliente regresa por segunda vez. “Están deliciosos”, le dicen. Él sonríe. Él pertenece aquí.

- Pequeños negocios locales – vendedores de la comunidad que vienen a apoyar a RHS y mostrar lo que es posible en nuestro vecindario. No solo están vendiendo; están modelando lo que es el emprendimiento y la inversión comunitaria.

- Formularios de interés – Las familias que desean saber más llenan un formulario sencillo. Pero el mensaje real ya quedó claro: Te vemos. Te queremos aquí. Perteneces aquí.
Amor:
Una comunidad que se apoya, incluso en cosas pequeñas. Una escuela que celebra a sus jóvenes. Familias que apoyan a familias.
Logro:
Jóvenes dando pasos hacia su propio poder. Estudiantes descubriendo que tienen algo valioso que ofrecer. El mensaje “eres capaz” volviéndose realidad, visible y vivo.
Pertenencia:
No solo “estás permitido aquí,” sino “te queremos aquí. Te celebramos. Tú importas.” Cada estudiante, cada familia, cada miembro de la comunidad se va sabiendo que pertenece a algo significativo.
