Reptile Rangers Camp – become a reptile keeper for a week!Campers will learn what it’s like to be a real-life zookeeper! They will help prepare animal food, assist with habitat cleaning, and observe how keepers care for the animals. Each day will include interactive games, crafts, and up-close animal encounters tied to the theme of the day. It’s an exciting and educational experience designed to spark curiosity and give young animal lovers a deeper appreciation for reptiles and wildlife care.
Zookeeper 101
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at a reptile zoo? In Zookeeper 101, campers will learn the basics of what it takes to care for animals every day. Kids will get an introduction to the facility, learn safe animal handling rules, and help with simple keeper tasks like habitat spot cleaning, refreshing water dishes, and observing how keepers monitor animal health and behavior.
Bug Bistro- feeding day!
What do reptiles eat, and how do zookeepers prepare their meals? During Camp Day 2, kids will explore the fascinating diets of reptiles—from insects to vegetables and more. Campers will help prepare food, observe feeding time, and learn how different animals eat in different ways. Interactive games, crafts, and animal encounters will make this a fun and engaging experience for curious young animal lovers.
Super Senses and Skins!
Reptiles experience the world in amazing ways—from smelling with their tongues to sensing vibrations in the ground. During Camp Day 3, kids will explore the incredible senses that help reptiles survive. Reptiles have unique bodies built for survival, and this camp explores everything from scales to skeletons. Campers will learn how reptiles grow, shed their skin, and move in different environments. Through hands-on crafts, activities, and animal encounters, kids will gain a deeper understanding of reptile anatomy and how these incredible animals are adapted for life in the wild.
Masters of Disguise
Many reptiles survive in the wild thanks to incredible camouflage and defense strategies. During Camp Day 4, kids will explore how animals blend into their environments, hide from predators, and sneak up on prey. Campers will help create enrichment and hiding spots for reptiles while participating in fun crafts, games, and animal encounters that show just how clever these creatures can be.
Wildlife Protectors
Reptiles play an important role in ecosystems around the world, and Camp Day 5 focuses on how we can help protect them. Campers will learn about conservation, habitat protection, and the work zookeepers and scientists do to care for wildlife. Through hands-on activities, simple zookeeper tasks, crafts, and animal encounters. Kids will discover how they can become reptile rangers, and help protect animals in their own communities and homes.
Prices: $25/Session OR $110 for all 5 days (savings of $15)
INSTRUCTIONS:
To register for all five dates for $110, choose the first day of the week, select 5-day class and register for that date only. To select single or multiple al-a-cart dates, choose your first date, fill out appropriate details, then select KEEP SHOPPING to add more dates.
