Celebrate Earth Day with Repair Cafe Guilford! SATURDAY, APRIL 25 FROM 11AM-2PM AT THE GUILFORD GREEN
The Sustainable Guilford Task Force will host a family-friendly Repair Cafe Pop-Up on the Guilford Green during the community Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 11am-2pm.
Expert repair volunteers will be on hand to help fix children's toys, mend clothing, stitch stuffed animals, and remedy broken bikes. Repairs for small household appliances and garden tool sharpening will also be available. All for free! Participation in the Repair Cafe Pop Up is a fun way for families to see sustainability in action as repairs are made to keep items in use and out of the landfill.
A few important notes below -- please see the "Discussion" page for more FAQs.
1. Repairs are limited to 30 minutes per item. This means that complicated repairs may not be possible. However, our repairers are usually able to offer excellent advice.
2. There is a limit of 2 items to fix. If you bring more than one item, you will need to go to the back of the registration line for each item.
3. Attendees sign a waiver when they arrive.
4. Our generous volunteer fixers will assess your item and let you know if they can help with the repair or not. If they can repair it, please remain with your fixer and learn what they are doing.
