This month we feature State Representative Johanna López (D) of District 43 for our 2026 Florida Legislative Update.
Rep. López is a dedicated public servant who served in the Florida House of Representatives since 2022. Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, she moved to Florida in 1998. López previously served on the Orange County School Board, becoming as its first Latina member. An educator and civic engagement strategist, she holds degrees in Hispanic Studies and higher education. In the Legislature, she has focused on education, community development, and public policy. Rep. López also serves in House leadership as a Deputy Whip and remains active in community organizations across Central Florida.

CFFC Educational Events are free and open to the public. Enjoy thought-provoking speakers, local freethought news, state/church activism, volunteer opportunities, and socializing. Come out to meet old friends and make new ones. Coffee and water will be available with snacks served during the social hour after the meeting so plan to stay a while.
CFFC has no membership dues, but we do have recurring expenses that keep the organization running. The largest expense are these monthly meetings (venue, equipment, speaker fees, travel, etc.).
