As part of our celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution we have prepared an evening remembering the events of that glorious revolutionary year. The evening will start with a staging of Václav Havel's play Audience, performed by a newly formed amateur dramatic troupe T.G.M., introducing our puppet (but definitely not only that) theatre to adult audiences.
The perfomance will be followed by a talk with people who lived through and took part in the events of November 1989.
Among our guests we are honoured to welcome Ms Doubravka Svobodová, a managing director of Theatre v Řeznické Prague, at the time of the revolution.
Our Czech Community Centre will be transformed into a communist-time pub for the night, serving the fare of the time.
Come along for a night to remember!
