This year, the community gathering for Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) is returning to a place of historical significance in our town: the old Emanuel Jacob Synagogue building at 973 Larchwood Rd in Mansfield. We invite everyone—neighbors, friends, and community members of all faiths—to join us for this annual service. This is not just a moment to honor the six million Jews and millions of others lost, but a vital stand against hatred and bigotry in all its forms.
As Fr. Christopher D. Hofer of Grace Episcopal Church reminds us: "As we stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors... we recommit ourselves to being a community that chooses love over hate and action over silence."
Let us come together to ensure a disaster like the Holocaust NEVER happens again. Our presence is our promise to remember.
