Relief Carving Workshop with David King

Learn relief stone carving and create your own Portland limestone tile in this beginner-friendly workshop.

This is a days course in relief carving held outdoors (indoors if weather is poor).

Suitable for absolute beginners who want to learn:

• · How to transfer a design to a stone tile.
• · How to use a small range of stone masonry chisels and tools.
• · How to use techniques and resources to complete stone to a good finish.

Use the templates provided or bring your own to carve a 20cm x 20cm Portland Limestone tile.

Please bring your own packed lunch.

No previous experience necessary.

Suitable for 12yrs - adult. 12-16 year olds should be accompanied by an adult.
