About this Event
In this workshop, we will explore the theme of "relationships" through warm-up activities, creative prompts, and a relaxed block of time to make mini-zines that meaningfully reflect your thoughts, feelings, and experiences 🖤🤍💜💚
This workshop will be co-facilitated by special guests from Ace Space London, an initiative dedicated to making space for the aromantic and asexual communities of London, by hosting a wide range events across the UK's capital.
As under-represented groups within the LGBTQIA+ and wider communities, we will be exploring the theme of "relationships" through the lens of the ace and aro (asexual, aromantic) experiences specifially - however, we do like to encourage outside-of-the-box thinking, so feel free to draw upon your own interpretations of the term.
Asexuality refers to experiencing little to no sexual attraction but this is a spectrum with wide ranging relations to what sexual attraction is. Aromanticism is experiencing little to no romantic attraction, and as with asexuality, this is a spectrum where individuals will experience this differently. During the session, we will learn from the ace and aro experiences to understand how relationships individually shape and form our lives.
You do not need any prior experience to take part (though we always do like to welcome back familiar faces!) and included with your ticket is a bespoke handmade envelope full of collage cut-outs to use on the day or take home for later.
Embrace the element of chance, make new like-minded friends, join our supportive community, and most importantly – have fun delving into the zine-making process!
Still unsure about coming along? Check this to see how our previous zine workshop went, or read anonymously submitted feedback here from previous participants.
We are releasing a range of ticket price options in the hope that everyone will be able to take part. There are a limited number of each ticket option available, therefore we kindly ask that you do an honest assessment of your affordability to ensure the intended equal access.
Here's a guide to help inform your choice:
