Honour an important relationship in your life by tracingyour story and connection through collage, and learn how collaging can be a powerful tool for self-reflection, connection and community-based research.
In this event, Avery Franken, PhD researcher in
Anthropology from the University of Amsterdam, will give a short talk on the value of documenting ordinary life. She will focus specifically on collage as a method for doing so.
This will be followed by an interactive workshop wherein participants will explore a significant relationship by creating
collages themselves. Participants will be guided through a process that will offer the opportunity to reflect on their relationship, select materials, and make their own creative piece. The resulting collages will become part of the City
Archive’s collection.
This event is open to everyone, and all materials will be
provided. The talk will be in English, and the workshop will be conducted in both English and Swedish, according to need.
