Relational Body: Travelling Forces in Contact Improvisation

In this workshop, we will be body. By expanding our listening from the inner landscape to its relation to the floor, space, and other bodies, we navigate gravity, momentum, and touch. Through guided improvisations, we tune perception, attention, and our capacity to register and respond in motion. Pouring agency into the body beyond our hands, we explore how to listen to and be with travelling forces, building a ready and reflective RELATIONAL BODY.
Open to all levels. Come as you are – curious, and open to meeting yourself and others in movement through the practice of Contact Improvisation.
𝗕𝗜𝗢
Anna Vilhelmine Wallin, or pippi, is an artist and educator based in Malmö, working with movement research, corporeal art, and community-based dance practices. Invested in the interplay of the solid and the fragile as we meet in motion.
Working independently and with dance-theatre companies and higher education institutions.
Pippi is initiator of SWEDEN CONTACT IMPROVISATION PROGRAM, growing across Malmö, Göteborg, and Stockholm; Organiser of SWEDEN CONTACT FEST; teaching regular classes throughout the Nordic region, and at festivals and projects across the world.

I denna workshop kommer vi att vara kropp. Genom att vidga vårt lyssnande från det inre landskapet, till dess relation till golvet, rummet och andra kroppar, navigerar vi tyngdkraft, momentum och beröring. Vi guidas genom improvisation och finjusterar vår perception, uppmärksamhet och förmåga att både registrera och svara i rörelse. Genom att ge kroppen agens bortom våra händer, gör vi oss redo att lyssna till, och vara med, krafter i rörelse — vi bygger en RELATIONELL KROPP.
Öppen för alla nivåer. Kom som du är – nyfiken och öppen för att möta dig själv och andra i rörelse genom praktiken kontaktimprovisation.

Anna Vilhelmine Wallin, eller pippi, är en konstnär och pedagog baserad i Malmö, som arbetar med rörelseforskning, kroppslig konst och communitybaserade danspraktiker. Engagerad i samspelet mellan det solida och det fragila när vi möts i rörelse.
Pippi är initiativtagare till SWEDEN CONTACT IMPROVISATION PROGRAM, i Malmö, Göteborg och Stockholm, arrangör för SWEDEN CONTACT FEST, undervisar regelbundet i hela Norden, samt på festivaler och projekt runt om i världen.
