About this Event
How would we build London if we had to start from scratch today?
In April 2024, Webb Yates Engineers launched ‘Reimagining London’s (Infra)structure' – an evolving, interactive digital model that started as a blank canvas based on the City of London. Right up until late June, creatives across the industry will be contributing their ideas and innovations for reimagining lower carbon, regenerative alternatives to existing structures and infrastructure on 3D modelled ‘plots’ across the virtual city.
This panel event will mark the end of the digital exercise, an in-person panel discussion alongside key contributors of the exercise, where we will disseminate the opportunities and challenges that will have arisen from the model. Free from some of the usual constraints, is it possible that as a collective we can create city that is truly regenerative? We will analyse the key successes with regards to sustainability, circularity, inclusivity, and accessibility, and explore the question ‘how can engineers make these ideas happen?’.
On the evening, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the reimagined digital city live whilst enjoying some drinks and nibbles.
