Join Colorado Media Project for a special screening of Reimagining Local News, a documentary series hosted by journalist and author Charles Blow. The series travels across America to meet the people rebuilding local news from the ground up, highlighting the innovative models, collaborative networks, and community-driven approaches that are proving local journalism can thrive.

This is not another story about the death of local news. It is a story about rebirth, innovation, and possibility.

What We'll Screen

We'll show targeted segments from three episodes of the series:

• Episode 3: Public Policy — How advocates and state leaders are building funding and policy solutions to strengthen local journalism.
• Episode 4: Underrepresented Groups — How outlets like Conecta Arizona and Capital B are restoring trust through culturally relevant reporting in underserved communities.
• Episode 5: A Community Takes the Lead — How Colorado became a national model for collaboration among journalists, funders, and civic leaders to rebuild local news ecosystems.
