Pictured - Woven Gold Choir

The Woven Gold Choir is a choir of refugees and asylum seekers from around the world. Their energy, richness and power come from the combination of a sense of close family, shared experience and the range of musical cultures; from Congo and Iran, to Pakistan, Kurdistan and Uganda. They perform songs and music written by themselves or traditional music from their various countries, sung in the original language and arranged by the group, making Woven Gold a community choir like no other. They are led by professional musicians who give their time. Some members of the choir have been with Woven Gold for a few weeks, some for 10 years.
