About this Event

Join us for Refugee Sangs an’ Clatter / Homin ta Spiv, an afternoon of storytelling and music featuring professional and community performers from the Ukrainian diaspora and friends. Come along to celebrate our shared creativity and cultural heritage as we build a future together. Whether you’re a lifelong Glaswegian or new to the city, we invite you to join our open mic and share a poem, story, or song!

Would you like to share a story, poem, or song at our event? We are looking for short pieces (5 minutes) that reflect the themes of Refugee Festival Scotland 2026: celebration, collaboration, and building a shared future.

We welcome performances in English and your native language (with a brief English summary) and encourage you to share your story from the memory if you can—though reading is also welcome!

Захід організовують Village Storytelling Centre та проєкт «Довіра».

Хочете виступити? Ми шукаємо короткі твори тривалістю 5-7 хвилин, що відображають теми Фестивалю біженців у Шотландії 2026: святкування, співпраця та творення спільного майбутнього.

Вітаємо виступи англійською та рідними мовами (із короткою анотацією англійською). За можливості заохочуємо розповідати з пам’яті, проте читання тексту також цілком прийнятне.
