This special event brings together our community to enjoy thoughtfully prepared cuisine, powerful stories, and a shared commitment to second chances through workforce development. Every ticket, sponsorship, and donation supports REfire Culinary’s mission to provide culinary training, mentorship, and opportunity for individuals overcoming barriers to employment.

Info: Dinner will be prepared by graduates and start at 7:00 PM. Bryan Stringer, author of Shame on Me and Executive Director of the Capital Area Justice Ministry (CAJM), brings over 30 years of lived experience and community engagement advancing systemic justice through grassroots organizing in Tallahassee. A long-time resident and mentor, he overcame early-life adversity and earned a master’s degree in psychology, dedicating his career to empowering marginalized communities.

At CAJM, he has built partnerships across faith and civic sectors, launched engagement initiatives, and helped align local leaders around a shared vision for justice. Through his memoir and leadership, Bryan embodies the redemptive power of second chances and relationship-driven advocacy.

At our event, he will speak to this year’s theme of Inner Fire, drawing from his journey and leadership. His book is featured on our auction page.

Info: Celebrate the achievements of our graduates and our honored community award winners. We will award our legacy "Yes Chef!" Award, our Eternal flame recipient, and our Community advocate award. We will then close off with our raffle winners!
