Chamber Music Concert
China Cultural Centre in Sydney and China Conservatory of Music will collaborate to present an evening of chamber music that brings together tradition, storytelling and contemporary expression.
This concert explores the richness of Chinese music through iconic classics such as Ambush from Ten Sides and A Moonlit Night on the Spring River, alongside a selection of contemporary works. Performed in an intimate setting, the programme highlights the expressive voice of the pipa while creating a vibrant dialogue between Chinese and Western musical traditions.
Performed by the internationally acclaimed Pipa Ο Chamber Ensemble, with artists from the China Conservatory of Music.

Pipa Ο Chamber Ensemble
Established in 2019, the ensemble brings together outstanding musicians from the China Conservatory of Music. Known for their innovative approach to traditional instruments, the group has performed extensively across China, Europe, and North America, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and international cultural festivals.
Yong Ge (Pipa)
A renowned pipa virtuoso, professor, and doctoral supervisor at the China Conservatory of Music. An award-winning performer and internationally active artist, she has appeared in over 20 countries and is widely recognised for her contributions to contemporary pipa performance and education.
Xiaoling Yang (Guzheng)
A leading young guzheng performer and doctoral candidate at the China Conservatory of Music, recognised for her artistry and multiple national awards, including top honours in major Chinese music competitions.
