Reels for Real People: Intro to Digital Marketing & Video

Reels for Real People is an intimate, in-person workshop held in the heart of Capstone at Intuition Fascia and Flow Wellness. We are stripping away the complicated jargon and high-pressure tactics to focus on the basics of digital marketing and video creation.

This is not a lecture where you just sit and listen. This is a "doing" workshop. Over three hours, we will move from strategy to action, ensuring you leave with actual content created on your phone.

1. Strategy First: The Marketing Funnel Stop posting just to post. We will break down the "Marketing Funnel" to help you understand where your audience is in their journey. You will learn how to create specific content that moves a stranger to a follower, and a follower to a client.

2. Filming Basics (Tech without the Tears) We are going back to basics to ensure your video looks professional.

• Lighting: How to use natural light vs. ring lights.
• Setup: Simple tricks to stabilize your video and improve quality.
• B-Roll: What is it? Why do you need it? We will teach you how to film those aesthetic background clips that are easy to edit.

3. Hands-On Creation & Breakout Sessions We will break out into small groups twice during the workshop to practice in the beautiful studio space.

• Session 1: Filming B-Roll content.
• Session 2: Creating a Reel (Transition video or lip sync trend OR both if time permits).
• Editing: We will walk through how to edit your clips, find trending audio, and add text.

4. The "Hook" & Modern Techniques Learn the art of the "Hook" (how to grab attention in the first 3 seconds) and simple editing tricks to keep viewers watching.

• Beginners: You have an account, but you aren't sure how to use it effectively.
• Business Owners: You know you need to be on video, but you feel awkward or stuck.
• The "Non-Techy": You want a safe space to ask "stupid" questions (hint: there are no stupid questions here!).
