“It wore a red face and walked like a man”Red Rabbit follows Mairead, Isbell and Allistor as their village in a medieval Scotland faces tragedy and turmoil, and the image of a local folktale returns - the coineanach dearg. The play is rooted in folk horror storytelling and Scottish Gaelic. It aims to explore the loss of Scottish traditions and language, and the consequences this has on nature, identity and community.
