It's that time of year again! It's the 2026 Edition of RECORD STORE DAY at Indy CD & Vinyl on Saturday April 18th 2026!HERE IS WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU:
- We will be open from 8am-8pm on Saturday, April 18th, 2026.
- RSD titles will be sold inside our shop beginning at 8am, and we will be carrying all the limited edition and exclusive #RSD records! As always, Indy CD & Vinyl orders all the titles, and we order heavily so hopefully none of you don't miss out on what you want.
- Live music on Saturday from the Naptown Hepcats, Starcrusher, CORKEN, DJ Tarsis' Alternative Classix Video Dance Party and Grimey on our new indoor stage in The 808! The party will continue on Sunday with some of Indy's finest DJs on our built-in booth: DJ Soundsbycam, DJ MetroGnome, DJ Jay Diff, DJ Action Jackson, DJ Chromatic, DJ John Larner, and DJ Body Double!
- What else are we known for? Hundreds of thousands of quality used LPS! Indy CD & Vinyl will be doing a huge drop of freshly processed and priced used vinyl that will be hitting the shelves in time for RSD!
- Even cooler: our "Road To Record Store Day" program, where you can win two of the first 10 spots in line for RSD26, or other great prizes! We will have a special stamp card for use between March 1st and April 11th: each time you spend a minimum of $50 in a visit you get a punch card stamped on your “Road To Record Store Day!" Five stamps fills a card - max one stamp per visit. Shoppers aren’t limited to one entry - if you are a frequent traveler on the “Road To RSD,” you can fill up as many cards as you are able for extra entries! We also will be announcing on our socials special days and/or sales where you can get a stamp for getting something specific instead of reaching the $50 threshold. We even will announce secret double-stamp days! Fill out the stamp card and turn it in after the six weeks and we will draw a winner at random to get two first-ten-in-line privileges, as well as runners-up for seriously great gifts!
- We will allow a few people at a time into the shop so everyone can get a chance to check out all the goods - everything will be alphabetized on The 808 side and RSD exclusive shoppers will use the door to The 808, while our regular front door will be open for shoppers who want to be at Indy CD & Vinyl (but not in line for RSD exclusives) can come and go! Once a shopper gets beyond the RSD stuff they are free to hang out and browse and shop as long as they please.
- Goodie bags and door prizes will be handed out to the first people in line, while the free stuff lasts!! There will be a scavenger hunt for a free $100 shop gift card!
- There will be sales throughout the shop (TBD)!
- You can win tickets to some of the year's biggest concerts and events!
- The RSD List will be available for download on the recordstoreday dot com website - so print it out and check off the titles on your #RSD wishlist, then bring it to the shop on Record Store Day!
- You cannot pre-order or have RSD items placed on hold, as this violates the pledge we have signed with RSD, so please don't ask. Your BEST CHANCE to get the limited records is to arrive early in person.
- You can buy as much of your list as you want with the product we have, but only one copy of any title per person! We will continue to update those in line with items that have sold out. Again, you cannot pre-order or have #RSD items placed on hold, as this violates the pledge we have signed with RSD, so please don't ask. Please do not call the shop as we will not be selling the records over the phone until at the line is done and then some.
- Not done shopping? Hang around the store and shop the regular in-stock items like 'normal,' we are open until 7pm inside so come shop and support local!
