The biggest celebration of all things record stores is back at Square Cat for 2026! As always you can expect us to go all out this year for Record Store Day. We have ordered every title on the 2026 list, so we should have a great selection of the RSD exclusives. Here's what we've got planned:
Opening early at 8 AM. Our line will be long at open, so we recommend arriving early for the best shot at a good spot in line. We are open the evening before until 8 PM and we will allow access to the shop until close for restroom usage. Keep in mind that we won't have restroom access after 8 PM the night before if you're planning to camp out.
- Free giveaway bags to the first 50 people in line.
- Free coffee to the first 50 people in line.
- Free Long's donuts while supplies last.
- First 100 people in line will be entered into a raffle for prize giveaways including gift cards, event tickets, and more.
- Performance by Dysfunktion Brass Band outside for our early risers at 7:30 AM
- Bearded Bagel will be selling breakfast options starting at 8 AM out front
- Special RSD street busking open mic out in front of the shop from noon - 3 PM. Please arrive by 11:30 AM to sign up for the open mic. There will be limited spots available.
- Flash giveaways throughout the day including merch and record giveaways.
- Special selection of rare and valuable used records we've saved just for Record Store Day
Here are some RSD rules and policies we have to adhere to:
- No pre-orders or holds on any RSD titles.
- You can only purchase one of each RSD title.
- Any leftover stock will be available for purchase on our website the morning after RSD at 8 AM.
- We will not disclose exact quantities of titles that we have received prior to RSD. This helps to limit the flippers from gauging availability on records. We will do some social media posts previewing all the titles that we do receive.
