About this Event
Gardening Basics - A Tour Around St Ann's Well Gardens!
An hour-long walk around St Anne’s Wells Garden, talking about what we see, and a bit about the history of the area. Join us to experience springtime in St Anne's Wells. We will discover why aspect, soil and micro-climates are key to gardening success. You will identify different flora and fauna, and you will get a chance to explore the fragrance garden to experience the different smells of the season! If the weather is wet please dress appropriately, and if it is very warm please bring suncream and water, we will be braving the seasons!
We will be crossing some rough terrain (such as bumpy grass) as part of this workshop. Please be aware that this might pose some issues, particularly for self-propelling wheelchair users. Please get in touch and let us know your requirements, and we can talk you through the session.
Ending Q&A will last 15 minutes. No experience necessary!
Nancy Kirk, professional gardener for a decade, now retired and does local gardening lessons. [email protected] if you have any questions about the session please get in touch!
