About this Event
Rebozo Knowledge Share
Step into a space of connection, tradition, and embodied learning as we gather for a hands-on Rebozo Workshop rooted in ancestral wisdom.
The rebozo is more than a cloth—it is a sacred tool that has been used for generations in Mexican midwifery to support women through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. In this workshop, we honor its lineage while inviting you into a playful, experiential learning journey.
We begin our time together by watching a beautiful and grounding film created by a traditional Mexican midwife, offering insight into the cultural history and significance of the rebozo. From there, we move into guided, hands-on practice where you’ll learn a variety of techniques and applications. Through demonstration and partner work, you’ll explore how to use the rebozo for comfort, relaxation, positioning, and emotional support—both for others and for your own body.
This workshop is designed to be interactive, welcoming, and deeply felt. Whether you are a birth worker, an expecting parent, or simply curious about traditional healing practices, you will leave with practical skills and a deeper appreciation for this sacred art.
We close our gathering with a soothing sound bath meditation, allowing your body to integrate what you’ve learned and drop into a state of rest and reflection.
Snacks and beverages will be provided to nourish you throughout our time together.
Come ready to learn, connect, and experience the magic of the rebozo.
