Join us for January's event: we'll explore the theme MORTAL through the book "With the End in Mind" by Kathryn Mannix
About this Event

Welcome to the RBC Bristol event, where we'll be diving into January's theme, MORTAL, through this month's read, "" by Kathryn Mannix

With the End in Mind is ‘ incredibly moving, of course, but what it isn’t is miserable. Yes this is a book about death, but it is also a book about joy. There aren’t all that many books that change the way you see the world. This book really might. It will make you want to do a better job of loving and living. It will make you want to be kinder. And it will make you want to cherish every precious moment of your precious life.’ - Sunday Times

Inspired by our monthly non-fiction reads, our mix of part cocktail party, part creative classroom is a recipe that builds your reading habit while connecting with like minded people.

Delicious drinks are included, as well as engaging storytelling and space for conversations and sharing your own journeys across countries and continents.

Interested? Want to join us at our January event?

Try out the club with Eventbrite - new customes only. Ticket price includes access to the Bristol Rebel Book Club event plus a welcome drink (alcoholic + non-alcoholic options available).

About With the End in Mind: How to Live and Die Well

What if everything you thought you knew about death was wrong? How should we prepare for the facts of dying and saying our goodbyes? And what if understanding death improved your life?

We have no cure for death. We’re getting better at postponing it, but sooner or later it comes to us all. So getting informed and prepared seems a good idea.

By turns touching and tragic, funny and wise, With the End in Mind brings together Kathryn Mannix ’ s lifetime of medical experience to tell powerful stories of life and death.
