About this Event
Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™: Acute Care Edition
This is not a lecture. This is hands-on, simulation-based clinical training designed for nurses, new grads, IENs, and nursing students who want to feel genuinely prepared for the acute care environment — not just technically trained, but ready.
📍 What You’ll Practice
• Airway Management & Oxygenation: oxygen delivery devices, titration, respiratory assessment, suctioning technique
• Critical Labs & Acute Interventions: reading and acting on critical lab values, intraosseous access, scope of practice in emergencies
• Rapid Deterioration + Sepsis & Shock: early warning recognition, sepsis and septic shock management, 2026 international guidelines, SBAR escalation practice
🧠 How It Works
Sessions are delivered in a small-group format at the ND Simulation Centre using real clinical equipment and scenario-based learning. You won’t just watch — you’ll do. The sepsis and shock block is led by a Critical Care RN and Anesthesia Assistant with 16+ years of clinical experience.
📌 A Note on Documentation
While this session is not an accredited program, a Certificate of Completion is provided to all attendees upon finishing the workshop.
⚡ Spots are limited. Small-group format for optimal simulation learning.
