About this Event
(CWK) Ready to Start Program is here! This 4-week program targets potential CommonWealth Kitchen applicants and it is intended to equip food entrepreneurs with the basic knowledge they need to start a food business and become one of our members.
Brought to you in partnership with the City of Boston's Small Business Development Department
Ready to Start is comprised by classes taught on four Wednesdays in a row, via Zoom by different instructors:
1. Business Planning (Wednesday, August 21st @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Lu Valena, Business Plan Evangelist.
2 . Market and Opportunity Analysis (Wednesday, August 28th @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Nick Schonberger, Entrepreneurship Programs, Commonwealth Kitchen.
3. Entity Formation (Wednesday, September 4th @ 5:30-6:30 pm):
4..Budgeting for Your Food Business (Wednesday, September 11th @ 5:30-6:30 pm): Sherie Theriault, Director of Member Success, Commonwealth Kitchen.
You will have to attend all four classes to get the Ready to Start certificate and be eligible to book a 1 hour meeting with our staff a few weeks after the program ends, to assist you with the preliminary stages of starting your food business and applying to CWK!
