Everyone Reading, in collaboration with The Reading Institute (TRI), is offering educators in New York access to this hybrid 3-day (Feb. 24, March 3 and 10, 2025) training, as well as curricular materials to implement the Reading Ready Program! This program is ideal for 1st or 2nd grade educators.
What is Reading Go?
Reading Go (formerly Reading Rescue) is an elementary literacy reading intervention for striving readers. The program brings together some of the best instructional practices from the field of reading science into a highly engagning, multimodal session that provides students with explicit and systematic instruction to support their foundational reading skills. Every Reading Go lesson provides students with the opportunity to work on their skills related to the essential components of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Training Schedule
Attendees who sign-up must attend all three virtual sessions (6:00 - 6:30 P.M. EST)
- Monday, February 24, 2025 - 30-minute live kickoff session; complete modules 1-5 of asynchronous course (~4 hours, self-paced)
- Monday, March 3, 2025 - 30-minute Mid-training check in; Complete modules 6-10 of asynchronous course. (~ 4 hours, selft-paced)
- Monday, March 10, 2025 - 30-minute live closing session
Participation Expectations:
- Implement the Reading Go program with at least one student for 20 sessions.
- Complete a data report to share aggregate data for students you worked with using the Reading Go Program.
- Complete an experience survey after using the Reading Go Program with your student(s) for 20 sessions.
- Optional: Attend virtual program office hours to ask questions and to receive program fiedlity support.
Participants will receive:
- Training in an evidence-based and highly engaging intervention program
- Free intervention kit that includes curricular resources and manipulatives ($230 value)
- Reading Go Certificate of Completion
- 10 CTLE hours!
