I am planning an evening for musicians interested in reading through some iconic works we might not easily have a chance to play otherwise. In a sense this STAD Modern Symphonic should function as a group serving musicians who are interested in growing together, using the ensemble to expand our levels of experience outside of our normal gig obligations. I would like to get together at (venue to be established later) to read through the first movement of Mahler's 6th symphony and the first movement of Neilsen's 6th Symphony and possibly Stravinsky's Firebird Suite.
