About this Event

RASA

A Cross-Cultural Journey of Music, Dance, and the Human Spirit

Join the South Asian Arts Academy for a historic evening of performing arts as we present the second edition of RASA.

RASA breaks new ground by finding the common threads between South, North, and Central Asian classical music and dance, also featuring players from the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and dance performers from Sri Shakti Academy.

The Story: From Museum Silence to Living Soul

The narrative follows two visitors to a museum who encounter five ancient sculptures representing five distinct emotions: wonder, anger, hurt, calm, and joy. As their imagination takes hold, the sculptures come to life, weaving a story of two people from different cultures who fall in love at first sight, navigate the pain of conflict, and ultimately find the grace of resolution.

This production is supported by a grant from the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC).
