Join us to celebrate the opening of Rare People - The Research Charity and help raise vital funds. Hosted on the top floor of RockwaterAbout this Event
This event marks the official launch of Rare People – The Research Charity, a new organisation dedicated to finding treatments and cures for rare neurodevelopmental genetic conditions.
We will introduce our novel research approach, including the use of artificial intelligence to identify safe, repurposed drugs and move them into properly designed clinical trials. The evening will explain why this type of research is rarely funded, why it matters, and how individuals, families and businesses can help accelerate progress.
Rare should not mean ignored. This event is about turning helplessness into hope for countless families of children suffering from these rare diseases.
There will be a live band and DJ, alongside a raffle, auction and pledges of support to help raise funds for our first clinical trial in DeSanto-Shinawi syndrome (DESSH). Rob Galloway, co-founder of the charity, has a daughter who is one of fewer than 200 people worldwide known to have this condition.
