Join us for a cozy Ramadan Iftar 2026, where friends and family break fast together with love and laughter!
About this Event

You are warmly invited to a Ramadan Iftar at The Empire Hall, bringing people together to share food, build understanding and strengthen our city.

Originally built in 1872 as St Mark’s Church and now a beautifully restored Grade II listed venue, The Empire Hall’s vaulted ceilings, elegant arches and historic character provide a powerful setting for gathering. Once a place of worship and now a civic events space, it reflects Leicester’s rich heritage and shared future.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a time of fasting, reflection, prayer and generosity. From dawn until sunset, Muslims fast each day, coming together at sunset to break their fast in a meal known as Iftar.

This evening offers people of all faiths and none the opportunity to experience that moment of togetherness. As we gather around the theme of hope, we recognise that hope lives in our shared humanity in our young people and in the future of Leicester.

Through food, reflection and meaningful conversation, we nurture unity and deepen understanding across our community.
