Welcome to Lenox Hill Hospital's Center for Family Education Community Health Series! Join us for a special evening with clinical psychologist and bestselling author Dr. Becky Kennedy, founder of Good Inside, for a conversation about what parents truly need after leaving the hospital - beyond a car seat.
Dr. Becky, PhD will introduce her clinically grounded, skills-based approach to parenting, helping parents understand what their job really is - and what it isn’t.
Parents will leave with practical tools for:
- Navigating big feelings
- Setting boundaries without punishment
- Supporting emotional health starting in early childhood
- Building and strengthening connection, resilience, and confidence at every stage of childhood
Centered on her belief that children are good inside and that challenging behavior is a signal of unmet skills, not bad intentions, Dr. Becky will help parents learn how to respond to difficult moments without punishment or power struggles, while still setting firm, loving boundaries.
This conversation is designed for parents at any stage who want a more confident, compassionate way to parent.
This talk is proudly presented by Lenox Hill Hospital as part of our new Community Health Series, made possible through the generous support of Rebecca Burgoyne and Timothy Braude. Their commitment will help us bring essential health education to everyone in our community.
Members of the Katz Institute of Women’s Health team will also be onsite to share resources related to women’s health programs available throughout the Manhattan metro area.
Light refreshments will be provided.
