Ragamala presents Nirguni Ensemble, a vocal ensemble performing Raga-based music from different regions of India (Khyal Bandish, Bengali Raga Pradhan, Marathi Abhangs, Thumri, etc.) The featured artists are Suchitra Iyer, Anindita Das, Sheetal Patwardhan, Sanika Joshi, Minal Guhe, Deepa Joglekar and Manoj Deshpande.NOTE: The venue, Eve Alvord Theatre, is located within the Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT) complex at 201 Thomas St, Seattle, WA 98109, on the Seattle Center grounds. It is situated directly south of the Fisher Pavilion.
The event is FREE for Northwest Folklife attendees. Northwest Folklife relies on voluntary donations at the gate from the attending public.
