Drawing from their personal experience with Autism the Shekhar Family approached Basant Madhur and Myself with an idea of a musical concert to support children in Fiji, who don't necessarily have the funding or means of proper care.
After a brief discussion the idea of Raga to Bollywood came about.
What to expect ???
You will be in for a musical treat as our talented local musician's take you on a journey from :-
Pure Indian Classical Instrumentals on Violin and Sitar to Vocals of Semi Classical Folk, Sufi, Bhajans and Ghazals.
There will be a Guru (Teacher) and Shishy (Disciple) medley of pahadi dhun (Wadiyon ki dhun) along with old catchy Bollywood dhuns on Violin.
Followed by melodious, popular and hit Bollywood songs and an unplugged version as well.
Oh' did I mention dancing... Yes!!! there will be Kathak dancing by our talented dancers with live music and singing on stage.
