RAEL: The Music of Genesis and Peter Gabriel

RAEL-The Music of Genesis and Peter Gabriel is a tribute band based in New York and Northern New Jersey. They capture the energy and originality of Genesis’s early live performances. RAEL pays homage to the most groundbreaking and influential band in progressive rock by incorporating their musical excellence, lyrical storytelling, and theatricality. This brings older listeners back to the day while introducing progressive rock newcomers to the sights and sounds of legendary bands like Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Yes, Rush, and King Crimson.

RAEL focuses on faithfully reproducing full album versions from the Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett days of Genesis. Their performances include tracks from Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, and A Trick of the Tail. Since 2014, concert audiences have been raving about their high-energy shows and musical detail. RAEL also performs solo Peter Gabriel hits in their live shows.

The members of RAEL are: Lloyd Gold (lead vocals, flute), Mike Belmonte (bass, bass pedals, backing vocals), Paul Sheehan (drums and cymbals, backing vocals), Kenneth Todd (keyboards), Sal Locascio (guitars, backing vocals), and Elaine Gold (backing vocals).
