This year brings a brand new format for Radiance Sundays in Bondi which will be focused on 5Rhythms dance.
Michelle Mahrer will be offering the class 4th Sunday of the month and she will be joined by Sue Andersen who will offer the class on 2nd Sunday of the month. On the other Sundays we may also have occasional pop up classes with interstate teachers.
Radiance Sundays is a 5Rhythms dance class created by 5Rhythms teacher Michelle Mahrer that has been running for 17 years. In the spirit of Sunday mornings, Radiance Sundays is a healing space for rejuvenation and renewal. Its a welcoming space to come home to your body, awaken your heart and uplift your spirit.
5Rhythms Dance is a dynamic movement meditation practice - a practice of being in your body - that ignites creativity, connection, and community. Rather than having steps to follow, each rhythm ievokes a different energy in which you find your own expression and movement. As we drop into our body, listen, express and move with the body's impulses, we come home to our essence. The practise is very simple and accessible to people of all ages, genders, sexualities and abilities, and suitable for anyone who wants to rediscover the joy and freedom that comes when we are embodied.

BIOGRAPHY
Michelle Mahrer is an embodiment mentor, 5Rhythms dance teacher, dance therapist and an award winning film maker. She is one of the pioneers of Conscious Dance in Australia and the director of Radiance Dance 5Rhythms a vibrant dance community in Sydney which has been running for 15 years years. She is passionate about the healing and transformative power of dance and has been leading dance classes and workshops in Sydney, Melbourne & internationally for the past 25 years. She has made numerous films about dance including all of Gabrielle Roth's teaching videos and "Dances of Ecstasy" a sensory journey into the world of trance and ecstasy experienced through dance and rhythm
Sue Andersen has been practicing Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms since 2008 and completed her teacher training in 2016. She is excited to share the 5R Waves map, supporting people to return again and again to their body, to explore and express their unique dance and to discover the freedom and aliveness that comes when we surrender our minds to our feet, to the dance.
