About the Webinar Facilitator:

Dr. Maureen (Mo) Satyshur (she/her) is a clinical psychologist and queer parent who is passionate about providing mental health support to LGBTQ+ folx growing their families. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Stanford Medicine and works with LGBTQ+ adults and folx during the perinatal period. She also has her own private practice and prioritizes building community connections to help support intended parents outside the traditional medical system. Her approach incorporates awareness and compassion practices as she supports individuals moving through painful situations and emotions towards their most authentic and wise life. She helps clients explore how the barriers and biases in our society can lead to certain individuals' stories being erased, which drives isolation and mental health struggles. In her work, she helps her clients reclaim their stories and build affirming community. Mo lives in the Bay Area with her wife, daughter, and three animals and is a member of the Pregnant Together Community, as she is currently on her own fertility journey.
