Queering Matter: Rethinking Physical Chemistry Through African Spirituality is a talk, discussion, and art build exploring how Physical Chemistry concepts like thermodynamics, kinetics, and spectroscopy can embody queer identities, ancestral connections, and sexuality within African spiritual traditions. The event applies a decolonial framework to matter, energy, and transformation. Through open discussion, food, and collaborative art-making, we can queer matter.
Topics include:
- Queer Thermodynamics: Equilibrium, Entropy, and Enthalpy
- Ancestral Kinetics: Reaction Pathways and Time
- Gender as Spectroscopy: Rotational and Vibrational States
Art supplies and food will be provided
