About this Event

Join us for an evening discussing the ever-growing world of queer rom-coms with two brilliant authors Bethany Rutter and Laura Kay!

The event will involve a panel discussion, readings from the authors most recent books and a chance for you to ask Bethany and Laura your questions.

Please note, our tickets are tiered for this event in order to allow folks of all different incomes to attend. All ticket sales go directly back into the running of The Proud Place, Manchester's LGBT+ Community centre.

About the authors:

Bethany Rutter is an author, podcaster and aspiring PT. She writes about women, bodies and clothes. Her second novel Big Date Energy is out now and follows Fran, a bisexual who loves to date but hates to have big feelings. After being signed up for a dating show Fran is confronted by Ivy- the one that got away!

Laura Kay is an author and journalist who has established herself as a queer rom-com queen. Her third novel Wild Things tells the story of a group of friends who move to the countryside to live out their commune dreams, but close quarters means protagonist El is forced to face the huge crush she's harboured on her best friend for years.
