Queer Open Mic Night
Informal open mic for LGBTQ+ people (age 16+) in Edinburgh.
Join us in an informal and cosy setting to enjoy live entertainment from the queer community!
Give it a go with the support of your community! Share and enjoy live music, spoken word, poetry or comedy as we champion each other in a queer safer setting.
Together we’ll create a supportive space for people to try new material and share their talents on a small stage. Whether you’re hoping to perform or will be an appreciative audience member, we welcome all LGBTQ+ people and their allies (16+) to celebrate each other and create a kind space for giving it a go!
Ideas for what you can perform:
- Poetry and spoken word
- Songs and live music (bring your own instruments or backing music)
- Dance and movement
- Comedy / stand-up
Equipment available on the night:
- Small stage area
- Seating
- Semi-acoustic guitar
- Lecturn/music stand
We’re hoping to secure (but yet to confirm):
- Small PA & 2 x mics/stands (up to 2 vocals and 1 instrument)
