About this Event
Queer Moves - Eastern European Pole Jam feat. Vera Hitova
Growing up and existing as a Queer person in Eastern Europe is a complex and difficult experience, which is a reason why you tend to find a lot of us (the ones that are privileged enough to be able to) living outside of the region. We wanted to create a safe space where we can come together (allies are welcome) and celebrate both the Queer and the Eastern European aspects of ourselves and dream of a better future!
The event is mainly a free-form pole jam where we want to welcome people of all pole abilities and complete newbies to have a little play and for us to get to know more about our community and its people in and around London. We will also run through a semi-structured intro to pole class for any complete newbies that choose to attend. There will also be a little showcase for anyone that wants to show off, practise a routine they are working on, or freestyle to some Eastern European ICONIC tunes
The pole jam doesn’t have an entry price, but if you wish to contribute to its organisation, we will have a QR code, through which you can support. Our goal is to cover the cost of the event, and if there is anything left over, we will share how much and we will donate it to the LGBTQIA+ charity. Alternatively, if you want to donate directly, we will have a QR code for that as well.
