We’re kicking off our new season of Queer Film Theory 101 with a new expanded focus and with the most requested media genre of all: ANIME! That’s right, the beautiful, complicated and very queer Japanese animation style is how we're ringing in the new year! Expect a lot of melodramatic speeches! A lot of redemption arcs for unlikely heroes! A whole shit ton of speed lines! And, of course, the kind of queer-coded stories of innuendo, love, loss, and discovering one’s identity in the face of adversity!
