We are thrilled to announce that our Queer Film Club is back for another year!
To kick things off, the Sexuality Research Group at the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies invites you to our Queer Film Club Halloween screening: I Saw the TV Glow – a hypnotic, genre-defying exploration of identity, memory, and the surreal horror of growing up queer in suburbia. Let's step into the eerie glow of queer adolescence and haunting nostalgia together this Halloween.
Directed by Jane Schoenbrun, this critically acclaimed film blends psychological horror with dreamy aesthetics, following two teens as they bond over a mysterious late-night TV show that begins to blur the lines between fiction and reality. It’s a perfect pick for spooky season – unsettling, tender, and deeply resonant.
