About this Event
As part of Lesbian Visibility Week, we’re creating a Queer & Well offering with Alex Castro. Beyond Small Talk: A Night of Queer Connection and Grounding is a special Queer & Well offering for Lesbian Visibility Week. This is a space for the Queer community to come together, feel safe, and build meaningful connections. This event is about more than just meeting new people—it’s about reconnecting with yourself and others in a way that feels real, deep, and fulfilling.
As queer individuals, we may sometimes feel different or alone, but this space is here to remind us that we are never truly alone—we belong. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to step beyond small talk, leave behind the “What do you do for work?” conversations, and instead ask and be asked, Who are you, really?
Through guided mindfulness, Authentic Relating exercises, and a grounding meditation, you’ll connect with others in a way that feels genuine, heart-opening, and powerful. This is a space to show up as your true self, meet incredible queer humans, and walk away feeling seen, heard, and deeply connected.
Come as you are. Let’s breathe, connect, and be present—together.

She is a firm believer that the quality of our life depends on the quality of our relationships – and most importantly, the ones we have with ourselves. As founder of LGBTQMindfullness, Alex serves the queer community, who have been generally underrepresented in the mindfulness space, offering a safe space to heal and connect. Her purpose is to incorporate mindfulness into the LGBTQ community and help individuals live a more fulfilled life by connecting deeply with who they are and enhance their mental wellness through mindfulness and connection.
