Poetic Reflections: A Writing Workshop for the Queer Community
Discover the healing power of poetry in a welcoming and affirming space! This workshop series offers a compassionate container where you can explore your emotions, identity, and community through poetry reading, writing, and reflection.
Together, we’ll engage with powerful poems centering the trans experience, uncovering themes of resilience, self-discovery, and joy. Through guided writing prompts, creative exercises, and optional sharing, you’ll have the opportunity to express yourself in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
No prior experience with poetry is needed—just bring your curiosity and an open heart. Whether you’re here to write, listen, or simply be in community, this space is for you.

Expressive Arts Therapy is a therapeutic approach that combines creative expression with psychotherapy to support healing, self-discovery, and personal growth. It integrates multiple artistic forms—including visual arts, music, movement, writing, and drama—to help individuals explore emotions, process experiences, and build resilience in a nonverbal, embodied way.
This approach is especially effective for those who struggle with traditional talk therapy or find it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings with words alone. No artistic skill is required—the focus is on the process rather than the final product. Expressive Arts Therapy is often used to support trauma recovery, emotional regulation, identity exploration, and overall well-being, making it a powerful tool for self-expression, healing, and transformation.
Queer & Well is a free monthly Center Community Program offering that provides a communal space for LGBTQ+ folks to explore different forms of care rooted in connection to community.
