Join us for an immersive experience for the whole whānau! The Quarry Arts Festival of Light is a colourful world of shadow, fire, and lights. Across 4 nights you're invited to explore our world of wonder and entertainment.
The Quarry Arts Festival of Light transforms our grounds into an immersive landscape of colour and illumination. Wrap up warm and experience the Quarry Arts Centre like never before - exploring hidden pathways, performers and art installations that inspire mid-winter magic.

In the lead-up to the festival, a range of hands-on workshops invites you to create works that will be showcased across the event. Keep an eye on our website and social media for upcoming opportunities to get involved and help make the magic happen!
Tickets can be purchased online at the link below. Sessions run from 5pm to 8:45pm each night, for approximately 45min each.
General entry - $10
Whanāu (4 tickets) - $30
Children under 3 are free
Things to know:
This is an outdoor mid-winter event running rain or shine, please dress for the weather (raincoats, umbrellas, warm clothes and covered shoes).
The Quarry Arts Centre grounds includes uneven surfaces, waterways, and other hazards. Please be aware of accessibility limitations and plan accordingly.
Tamariki must be actively supervised by parents or guardians at all times.
Parking will not be permitted on the Quarry grounds. A parking map will be shared on our website and social media ahead of the event. Please consider carpooling where possible.
Remember to bring cash for food trucks and art stalls
Not all performers and art installations are interactive. Please respect the safety and signs onsite.
