Join Marisa Fraizer as she hosts a 60 minute Qigong class at The Center! Details below: https://120cooncreek.com/04-04-2026-qigong-with-marisa-frazier/
"Originating from ancient China, Qigong centers on harnessing and cultivating life energy or "chi." Slow movements and exercises combined with meditation and breath regulation are practiced, improving the flow of energy within the body, mind, and spirit. It is known to harmonize and enhance the bodily systems- leaving you feeling refreshed, revitalized, stronger, and more centered. Benefits include stress reduction, enhanced immune function, mental clarity, improved blood circulation, emotional balance, deeper connections inside and out, reduced fatigue, and improved autonomic balance.
Qigong is a movement practice done standing. Seated options will be provided for folks as needed. Qigong is not designed to be strenuous-- it's about increasing circulation through gentle movement and breathing exercises. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows free movement, and flat, soft-soled shoes or go barefoot. Bring your yoga mat and a bottle of water. Eat lightly -- avoid a heavy meal 1-2 hours before practice. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in and calm your mind, and turn your phone to silent or off. Beginners are welcome; no experience is needed. You don't have to do the movements perfectly -- intention matters more than precision, and move within your comfortable range of motion. If you need to rest, simply stand or sit quietly."
