Spring is in the air—

Nice Moves is getting together again this May 28th, and we're excited to have local artist, Jacob Smithburg, as our speaker.

Prep your analog brain for some digital joy! Jacob Smithburg says he will hold your sweet sweet hand while leading you on his artistic journey, spanning everything from 2D illustration and sound design to 3D animation and interactive installation art! He'll be diving into his boldest, wildest, most absurd projects to date and teach you how to enter imaginative worlds of your own.

Jacob Smithburg is a Rochester, MN based independent filmmaker, experiental artist, music maker, and lover of whimsy and worldbuilding in digital spaces.

Parking & Entry

There are several close by parking lots in the downtown area and metered street parking. A little further out, about a 10-15 min walk are the ABC Ramps, which can be a bit cheaper and are easy to get to. The building is also conveniently right off the Hennepin Goverment Plaza Light Rail Station, if you are taking public transit.

Once you are inside, look for the first floor conference rooms. We will hopefully be able to put signs up directing you to the Nice Moves meetup, but there will also be board members there to guide you. If you enter from the 6th street entrance, go to your left, and if you enter from the 5th street entrance, go to the far end and right.
