Welcome to BarePaws Puppy Yoga!

About me:

I have been teaching and praticisng yoga for over 8 years. Trained in variety of yoga teaching practices including Pregnancy and Post Natal yoga, I am a proud owner of Chica and Robin (my two gorgeous pugs).

I bring my unique style of teaching yoga practices from my Mum & Baby yoga experience to my Puppy Yoga classes, ensuring maximum engagement and integration of people and puppies, whilst promoting relaxation, reducing tension, increasing flexibility and having fun along the way!

My first ever puppy yoga class was with my dog Chica and her litter of 8 healthy and happy pug puppies.

The unconditional love and contentment that was exchanged between the clients and my dogs Is what inspired me to start BarePaws Puppy Yoga.

Puppy Yoga:

Yoga is a transformational practice that encourages the union of mind, body and spirit. It helps us to tune in to our body’s needs, rewarding us with a whole host of health benefits both mental and physical.

A typical puppy yoga class will have approximately 8-10 puppies with around 15 participants and the puppies can range from 8-14 weeks old.

Puppy yoga classes involve having puppies roaming from one mat to the next, leaping on participants, and tussling with other puppies as you try out different yoga poses.

Often pups are incorporated into some of the yoga poses or they happily roam free throughout class.

All puppies are borrowed from a local breeder and we find the breeders from websites such as Kennel Club or Pets4Homes.

On some occasions, Puppy Yoga gives the puppies an opportunity to be adopted, if they haven’t already found their forever home. The puppies get the chance to be around other people (not just their breeder) which enhances their socialisation skills.

In the first 3 months of a puppies life it very important to expose your puppies to different, people, new environments, sounds and smells. Puppy yoga is a safe and fun space that aides with our puppies socialisation.

Interactions with animals especially puppies has been proven to be extremely beneficial to our mental wellbeing. The hormone oxytocin is released, in both dogs and people, when puppies interact with someone they like. This provides stress-relieving physiological benefits.

Bare Paws Puppy Yoga:

Our classes provide the same benefits (and more) as traditional yoga does, but with a twist—all of your sessions will include playful puppies nibbling on you.

Our clients are educated on how to hold and interact with our puppies to ensure puppies are safe and happy whilst with us. Puppies will receive lots of love, attention and cuddles.
