About this Event
To celebrate Autism Awareness - Acceptance - Appreciation Month, our April Family Gathering is FREE for everyone!
This event centers neurodiverse families, but everyone is welcome.
Join us for a fun and relaxed afternoon where families will learn to create puppets and play together! Come hang out, make something special, and close out the weekend with community, creativity, and fun!
On Sunday, April 26, join Extreme Kids & Crew and Spellbound Theatre to explore puppetry for the whole family.
☕️ We’ll be joined by our friends from Center for All Abilities, and their Blue Hat Café team. They’ll be offering delicious (and free) café drinks for caregivers and children, including lemonade and coffee.
👷🏽 No experience needed
🌈 All abilities welcome
On Sunday, April 26:
- 4–5 PM, explore the museum together.
- 5–6 PM (after the museum closes), our families will gather to have fun with puppets!
In this interactive and inclusive workshop, you'll meet Domino the Penguin:
"Sometimes Domino chooses to be naughty, but sometimes it happens without her realizing. There are so many rules! Domino wants to know how she can still have fun without getting into so much trouble. Will you help? Join Domino as she navigates a tricky world filled with opportunities to be naughty...or not."
Spanish and Mandarin interpretation available.
Space is limited to keep the workshop small and supportive — reserve your spot today.
This event is FREE, but you must register in advance.
